UPDATED: Police appeal after High Woods Country Park robberies

POLICE are appealing for information following a series of robberies on women in High Woods Country Park.

A woman in her thirties was one of two victims on Friday and officers spent two hours combing the area for the culprit. The police helicopter also took to the skies.

Two other women fell victim, on Sunday August 7, and Tuesday, August 9 which makes it four robberies in the park in just over a week.

One of the victims, who asked not to be named, spoke to the Gazette to warn others and asked why no warnings had been put up following the initial robberies.

A 17-year-old man from Witham has been arrested and bailed. Anyone with information call Essex Police on 0300 3334444.

Initial robberies ??? I recall some weeks ago that a boy and also on o.a.p were attacked also ?? Police the area better !!
