Schoolchildren created an animated film for a screening at the British Film Institute.
Ten pupils from Southview School in Witham took part in the project run by The Video and Film Workshop to make the animated film Class Four Factor.
Ten special schools across Essex and Kent took part in the event, which was co-founded by BBC Children in Need, and the films were screened last Thursday.
Gillian Goodchild-Colley, head of secondary at Southview, said a filmmaker from the charity had spent six days with the children helping them to develop their characters and story ideas to produce the animation.
