Icy roads cause multi car pile-up

TREACHEROUS icy roads caused a three car pile-up.

Three cars collided in Burnham Road, South Woodham Ferrers at around 8.40am on Sunday.

One car was left with a lamppost through its door while another person was trapped by their injuries and had to be cut free by firefighters.

The trapped person was freed by around 9.20am and was taken to Basildon hospital by ambulance.
