ARTWORK by Mid Essex artists is set to feature in a charity calendar.
Farleigh Hospice is inviting artists from Chelmsford, Braintree, Maldon and the surrounding areas to enter a competition which will see the winners featuring in its 2013 calendar.
Cheryl Bunkle, PR and marketing manager at the hospice, said: “We have an abundance of talented artists within our local community and I sincerely hope that many of them will see the benefits of taking part in this competition and decide to get involved.
“If all goes to plan, what a fantastic 2013 calendar we’ll have, which will hopefully lead to an even higher volume of sales than usual.”
With around 2,500 copies sold every year, the income generated by the calendar plays a part in helping to fund the free care and support provided by the hospice for people affected by life limiting illnesses.
Farleigh’s staff, volunteers and members of the public will have the opportunity to view the shortlisted entries and cast votes on their favourites at www.farleighhospice.org and its ten charity shops between Monday March 19 and Friday March 30.
There is a £5 entry fee for up to three pieces of work.
The closing date for entries is Friday March 9. Entry forms are available at www.farleighhospice.org/artcompetition, from the hospice reception in North Court Road, Chelmsford, or at the charity shops.
