Tiptree: Police appeal for information after burglaries

POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of three burglaries overnight in Tiptree.

A resident at a home in Barbrook Lane was woken by a thief who stole a wallet at about 3am this morning.

There were also two burglaries in Vine Road.

A purse and handbag were stolen from one of the homes and an untidy search carried out, but nothing taken, at the other.

Anyone with information is urged to contact acting inspector Terri Hooke at Colchester police station on 101.
