A “significant legacy” has been left to help the Burnham RNLI Floating Boathouse Appeal.
A local woman has left the branch the legacy in her will, which comes as a boost to Burnham fundraisers.
In total, £130,000 is needed to go towards a floating boathouse which will house a new state-of-the-art lifeboat, the Atlantic 85, when it arrives early next year.
To date, an impressive £90,000 has been raised for the boathouse.
The Atlantic 85 vessel was bought as a £160,000 gift to the institution by an anonymous single donor.
