A MOTORIST had to be taken to hospital after his car hit a tree in Asheldham.
Emergency services were called to Foxhall Road in the village at about 10.50am on Saturday.
The driver of a grey Nissan coupe, a man in his mid-twenties, suffered arm and back injuries after his vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
He was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, by ambulance.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
