Businesses in Maldon can now find out how to work with an apprentice.

“Apprenticeships for Business” is an evening talk organised by Maldon District Council, Plume Community Academy and Directions IAG Ltd to enable employers to find out more about employing an apprentice.

The event is being held at Plume Community Academy, Fambridge Road in Maldon.

There will be presentations from Misha Rosenthall, Managing Director of MR Books, CI Business Solutions and Maldon District Council.

There will also be an exhibition of training providers which businesses can discuss their training needs, and Maldon District-based businesses promoting apprenticeship opportunities they may have now or in the future.

Councillor Penny Channer, Chairman of Planning and Licensing, said: “You should not underestimate the positive impact that apprenticeships can have on businesses and the wider economy.

“Apprentices can inject energy, stimulate ideas and boost productivity.

“This event is an excellent opportunity for businesses, from sole traders to large organisations, to find out more about taking on an apprentice.”

The event is from 5pm to 7.30pm and free light refreshments and on-site parking will be available.
