PLANS to build five new bungalows in Burnham have been refused.
The bid was put to Maldon District Council to build the new bungalows on land south of Stoney Hills in Burnham.
However, the council has thrown out the plans, stating that the proposals are located outside defined settlement boundaries, and that it would be a too intense and urban development for the area and could damage the local environment.
