THE final Share Fair of the year in St Lawrence has been hailed a huge success.
The Dengie village has hosted four of the fairs this year, which has no money involved, with residents swapping skills and experiences.
The final fair of the year took place on Sunday, with representatives of the Eden Project in Cornwall, who first invented the idea, attending.
Hana Malouf, who organised the fair, said: “It was a really, really good day with great weather.
“More and more people were getting the hang of it and getting the concept.
“We had kids painting their fathers’ faces, playing with pom-poms and hula hoops.”
The fair will return in spring next year to be held once every season.
