STREET artists have been giving a skate park a colourful new makeover.
Renowned street artists 'Brave Arts' and young people of the Maldon district have given the skate park in Promenade Park, Maldon a cool and colourful new look.
The designs were part of a project funded by Maldon District Council and the Community Safety Partnership which invited young people to help repaint the skate park to give them a sense of ownership over the area.
The youths worked with Brave Arts, who gave them guidance on how to professionally and safely implement street art.
A spokesman for the safety partnership said: "The partnership would like to thank the young people of Maldon who contributed to this project and Lisa Hawkes for capturing photos of them in action.
"The Skate Park has now reopened looking better than ever."
