A BUSINESSWOMAN found dead in her office deliberately took her own life, an inquest ruled.

Senior coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray said she was sure Georgina Moon, 39, had meant to kill herself when her body was found at the company offices in Stow Maries on June 4.

She said: “She had a number of worries and seems to have suffered depression over a period of time.

“I would like to express sympathy to her family.”

Ms Moon, from South Woodham Ferrers, had run a business for several years but it had begun to run into financial difficulty, Essex Coroner’s Court heard.

The cause of death has been ruled as strangulation and the toxicology report showed she had a number of prescription drugs in her system and a trace of cocaine.

Details were revealed during a documentary inquest.
