WORK experience pupils met a council chairman during their placement.
Maldon District Council chairman Henry Bass offered advice to the pupils from Plume while they carried out work experience at the council offices in Princes Road, Maldon.
Mr Bass encouraged the students to consider a career in local politics.
Last Thursday he attended the Maldon District Health and Wellbeing Fair at the Jack’s Centre in Latchingdon.
The event was organised by the council.
On Sunday Mr Bass visited the Woodham Walter Village School Fete and the flower and arts festival at St Michaels Church in the village.
