Art in exhibition

AN EXHIBITION is taking place in Maldon today.

The Maeldune Heritage Centre, in Market Hill, is hosting the Anne Brooks and Friends Art Exhibition from 11am to 4pm.

The majority of the work will be for sale on the day.

The centre is free and open every day except Sundays and Mondays.

Gardens to open

POPULAR gardens will be open to the public tomorrow.

Ulting Wick Gardens will be open from 2pm to 5pm.

The gardens are centred around three listed black barns and a 17th-century farmhouse which provide the backdrop for exuberant planting in eight acres.

Admission for adults costs £5, with children free.

Seal cruise date

SEAL cruises will set sail from Burnham this Saturday.

Cruises of up to three hours will launch from Burnham Quay.

Guests will learn about their behaviour, breeding and hear some favourite anecdotes covering 20 years of seal watching.

Night of quizzing

A QUIZ night will be held in Little Totham on Saturday.

The Swan on School Road will hold its monthly quiz night from 8pm, with this month’s entry fees going towards buying a village defibrillator.

Nursery opening

A NURSERY will host a registration morning with fun activities for the childen.

The Daisy Chain Day Care Nursery on Wantz Road will be holding a morning where people can come along and see the nursery and register their child for free, for September 2017 and January 2018 start dates.

There will be face painting, raffles, arts and crafts, entertainment and refreshments on offer.

The day runs from 10am to noon.
