ENTRY forms for this year’s Maldon in Bloom competition are now available to the public.

The annual garden competition entry forms are available from The Tourist Information Centre as well as from Jennifer Eva at the Maldon Town Council Offices.

Doreen Linton, one of the organisers, said: “As we walk around the town, there are so many colourful front gardens. Their owners could enter our competition. Some of these gardens have wonderful hanging baskets and containers for everyone to enjoy.

“Three neighbours could get together to enter our street category making this a fun community activity.

“It would also be good to see the children of the town being encouraged to enjoy the benefits of gardening and the discovery of lessons outside – maths, science, English, art and many more subjects.

“We are really looking forward to visiting all our schools and playgroups to see how they have taken the opportunity to reflect this year’s theme – Bats, Bees and Butterflies into their open spaces.”
