PLANS for nine new houses in Heybridge have been thrown out.

An application was submitted to Maldon District Council for the construction of nine houses and a commercial unit on land near The Square in Heybridge.

They were also set to include layout parking.

The council have refused the plans, stating that the layout would be contrived and that the living conditions would be too poor for future residents.

They also took issue with the proposed layby/drop off/visitor parking facilities on The Causeway, which they claim is likely to lead to confusing slowing and turning manoeuvres in the immediacy of the roundabout.
