A WOMAN who was killed in a St Lawrence caravan park died from a severe head injury, an inquest heard.

Carolyn Hill, 51, died at the St Lawrence Holiday Park on Main Road on Monday after suffering a blood clot in the brain.

The provisional cause of death was read out at Essex Coroner's Court in Chelmsford today.

Ambulance and police services were called to the scene in St Lawrence shortly after 10.30am on Monday.

Paramedics were unable to save Ms Hill, whose death is being treated as suspicious by police.

Skye Page, 37, of Dunkirk Road, Burnham, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 23.

The provisional cause of death was given as acute subdural haemorrhage, a severe brain injury.

Senior coroner for Essex County Council, Caroline Beasley Murray opened the inquest and adjourned it to a later date.
