Winter wellbeing

POP-UP advice booths on staying well this winter will be coming to Althorne tomorrow.

The Stay Well this Winter campaign will give people a free bag of items to help you keep warm through winter, plus advice and information on cutting fuel bills and keeping active in the local community.

The pop-up session is on at Althorne Village Hall on Burnham Road from 11am until 3pm.

Take part in quiz

A QUIZ night will be held tomorrow night.

Burnham Museum will be organising a quiz night at the Tall Green House on Burnham High Street.

Proceeds from the night will go towards the volunteer-led museum.

Teams of four can take part for £10 or for £3 per person. The quiz will begin at 7.30pm.

Buy baby goods

PARENTS can attend a baby sale in Burnham.

Taking place on Saturday, a bump and baby sale will be held in the Burnham Baptist Church on Station Road, which will have maternity goods and accessories, with proceeds going to the charity Meningitis Now.

The sale will take place from 2pm to 5pm. People can still get in touch to hire a stall by emailing lindsaycook@hotmail.com.

Jazz band show

A JAZZ night will be held in Wickham Bishops.

Wickham Bishops’ Village Hall will host its regular club of jazz on Saturday, with this week’s entertainment coming from the John Shillito Jazz Band.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and costs £12.50 per person.

Night of music

LIVE music can be seen in Burnham this Saturday.

The Queens Head on Providence will be hosting Stony Road, who will be performing their British and American blues classics to the pub.

The band will be playing at the pub from 8.30pm on Saturday, with entry being free.
