AN ARTY young girl from Heybridge Primary School has emerged victorious in a drawing competition.

Nine-year-old Aimee Rose took part in Maldon’s Tesco Extra store’s healthy eating drawing competition, designing a poster with the theme of healthy eating.

Aimee’s win means her design has been printed onto limited edition hessian bags that have been given away in the store.

The Tesco store on Fullbridge invited primary school pupils from the local area to design a poster with the theme of healthy eating, to tie in with the company’s commitment to helping children build a healthier, happier relationship with food and understanding the importance of a healthy, balanced diet.

Aimee also won a Junior Chefs’ Academy Workshop for her class and a £25 gift card for herself.

Junior Chefs’ Academy is a leading provider of healthy eating workshops and food education events, helping children to develop an active interest in how food is produced and prepared.

Pupils in Aimee’s class will be able to make healthy recipes whilst learning the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

Simon Waltham, head teacher of Heybridge Primary School, said: “The pupils are all very excited that Aimee won the competition, we are very proud. The hessian bags look amazing and are the perfect keepsake for Aimee to remember her achievement.

“We would like to thank Tesco for inviting us to take part and for organising the Junior Chefs’ Academy Workshop.”
