A PRIMARY school choir took part in a concert at London's Royal Albert Hall in aid of charity.

The All Saints' Primary School choir took part in the concert "A Countdown to Christmas" at the world famous hall where carols were sung and a musical was performed called Scrooge by Sheila Wilson.

All Saints' were one of 32 school choirs from all over the country to attend, with Woodham Walter being another Maldon district school to attend.

This year the school were very excited to have been asked to perform a nativity to start the concert. They also had a soloist Poppy Brown chosen to sing the first verse of little donkey and several of our children's artworks graced the programme. Ava Arden had her design chosen for the front cover.

The concert was a huge success and Barnardo's stated the concert has raised in the region of £64,000, deemed a fantastic celebration for their 150th year.
