ST PETER’s Hospital café held an event to thank its loyal customers.
The day consisted of a free three course meal and a raffle, raising money for Eaves Poppy Foundation.
The event, held on Sunday, October 16, was the idea of cafe owner, Julie Taylor.
She said: “I held it as a thanks for my customers who are in literally every day. We are very community based and we’re like a big family rather than customers, we all get along so well.
“They had a free three course meal at lunchtime, and at the same time we held a raffle with prizes from Provide Maldon Fruit and friends of the café.
“We raised £92 for Eaves Poppy Foundation. We are a way off our thousand pound target but we also have a raffle going on until late December.”
