Firefighters tackle timber and hedge fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze involving two tonnes of timber and a row of hedges.
The hedge, which measured 25m, was alight on Fambridge Close in Maldon and crews arrived at 6.11pm on Friday.
Two crews from Maldon used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by 6.57pm.
