FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a fire in Church Lane, Goldhanger.

Three crews are attending the blaze where two males have had to be given oxygen following smoke inhalation.

One crew from Tollesbury and two from Maldon were called shortly before 2.30pm to a fire involving a hay baler and 100m of leftover hay.

A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters have been called to a fire involving a hay baler and 100m of stubble. Crews are using two hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

“Firefighter have also administered oxygen therapy to two males suffering with smoke inhalation.”
