A WENTWORTH Primary School pupil is leaving the school after seven years with 100 per cent attendance.

Cameron Jones had his remarkable achievement recognised by the school in his final assembly as a pupil.

As a car fanatic Cameron was rewarded with a day’s Go-Karting experience presented to him by head teacher Mrs Jan Myers.

The day will include training in the morning, before races in the afternoon and a trophy presentation afterwards, which he can do with his family in the Summer Holidays.

Cameron’s Year 6 teacher, Nikki Eaves explained how extraordinary Cameron’s achievement is.

She said: “I have worked at the school for ten years now and this is only the second time someone has left here with 100 per cent attendance throughout their seven years.

“I have taught Cameron twice now and he has always taken great pride in his attendance. To him it is non-negotiable and that’s always great to see.

“He has always put in a fantastic effort whatever he is doing and I think his attendance is a great example of his attitude. He is a brilliant student.

“He has been in every day, rain, wind, sun or even snow. It is a great achievement for Cameron and for his parents as well.”
