A GIRL has been rushed to hospital after falling unconcious in Maldon.
An air ambulance was seen landing at Plume Academy to attend the patient on Cross Road, Maldon, on Monday at approximately 7.20pm.
A rapid response vehicle and full ambulance crew were also scrambled to the scene.
A spokesman from the ambulance service said: "The East of England Ambulance Service received a call to Cross Road, Maldon, to a report of an unwell child.
"A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and Herts Air Ambulance were dispatched to a report of a young girl who was unconscious.
"She was taken to Broomfield Hospital by land ambulance in a life-threatening condition."
The air ambulance medics also travelled on the ambulance to treat the patient on their way to hospital.
