A MALDON business celebrating their 20 year anniversary have raised over £1700 for various charities through running the Maldon Mud Race.

AWA Building Service Consultants have been operating out of West Station Business Park in Maldon since 1996, and as part of their anniversary celebrations, a four strong team entered the Maldon Mud Race at the weekend.

The business work as professional consultants who advise their clients on building objectives they want to achieve through designs, and liaise a work with fellow professionals, designers, architects and clients.

The business works with all sections of the property market, including commercial, residential, occupiers, public sector and education. They have been operating in Maldon since 1996.

The Mud Race team consisted of CAD Manager Chris Hopkins, alongside 2 of the members of the CAD Team Chris Rogers & Matt Gill, and Document Controller Lisa Little.

The team jumped into the mud together on Sunday and crossed the line as one, and as of Monday May 2, have raised £1770 for various charities, including Maldon Citizens Advice Bureau, the Rob George Foundation, the Tim Reeve Charitable Trust and Little Havens Hospice.

Chris Hopkins said: “This Mud Race personifies what AWA is all about, a great team effort. I’m so glad we all finished and raised such a great amount of money in celebration of 20 great years.

“The wet mud was the toughest part of it, getting up that river bank took me forever!”
