STUDENTS at Plume welcomed pupils from Spain as part of a cultural exchange.
Last month 17 pupils and two staff from Virolai School in Barcelona visited Plume in Maldon for a day of activities.
The two schools are exchange partner schools.
The Spanish pupils were greeted by headteacher Carl Wakefield before heading off for their first lesson of drama, a subject not part of the curriculum in Spain.
An art lesson creating clay models followed and the students also visited the sixth form where they were shown around the campus and shared similarities between the two school systems.
For their final activity of the day the Spanish students learnt about Maldon and its landmarks from Year 9 pupils at Plume.
The Spanish students then shared their knowledge on their home city of Barcelona.
