Shoppers to benefit from free parking in lead up to Christmas
SHOPPERS will be able to benefit from free parking in Maldon in the lead up to Christmas.
Maldon town centre pay and display car parks will be free on December 12 and 19 and on Christmas Eve.
However normal charges will apply at Promenade Park on those days.
The free parking is in addition to free weekend parking already in place at the Maldon District Council offices in Princes Road and Plume School’s Fambridge Road car park.
Normal charges will apply at all other times.
Ron Pratt, Chairman of the District Council’s Community Services Committee said: “I hope that everyone will take advantage of these free parking days in the run up to the festive season in order to help support and boost the economy of the town.”
