A Maldon gallery will present work by a top East Anglian printmaker.

The Hayletts Gallery on High Street will display Glynn Thomas’ etchings of Maldon and surrounding areas, alongside ceramic sculptures until Christmas Eve.

The artist, whose most recent etchings are of the Maldon Mud Race and Maldon Regatta, has previously held exhibitions from as far as Toronto to Cambridge.

His works are also displayed in the Ashmolean Oxford, the Museum of London and Ipswich Museum.

A member of the Royal Society for Printmakers, Mr Thomas was awarded the Davys’ Prize for the best print and has had his work included in the House of Parliament art collection.

Hayletts Gallery owner Sally Patrick described his work as “aesthetically delightful”.

She said: “His work attracts more visitors and buyers than any other artists.

“It is really no surprise.”

The exhibition will be open from 10am until 5pm except on Sundays and Mondays.
