After spending more than 13 hours swimming, cycling and running 140 miles, seeing his daughter at the finish line was a literally a sight for sore eyes for Jordan Hiscott.

Jordan, 35, tackled the notoriously tough Bolton Ironman challenge to raise money for Broomfield Hospital's neonatal unit, which nursed little Liberty after she was born to him and wife Anita six weeks early, weighing just three pounds.

The family, of Mercury Place, Maldon, went home around the time Liberty was due.

Jordan raised £4,000 for the Neonatal ward by completing the challenge in July, involving a 2.4 mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon, in 13 hours and 35 minutes.

The toddler will present the cheque to the hospital ward in September.
