Crowds will give 100 East London cabbies and hundreds of disabled schoolchildren a spectacular Maldon welcome on Wednesday July 1.

The High Street will teem with people waving to the children before they stop at Plume School, for lunch.

Following the feast, the cabbies will make their way to Promenade Park, where the children will enjoy a disco, face-painting, a gift from the organisers and a magic show.

Chairman of the East London Cabbies Outing, Ken Flemwell, said: "Me and the team always look forward to this - massively!

"Each time is better than the last."

The decorated cabs will pass through Maldon High Street between 1pm and 1.30pm.
