Schoolchildren celebrated the “Best of British” with a picnic and brass band.
Maldon Court Preparatory School pupils have been studying the British Isles as a topic for the summer term.
On Friday the children shared a whole school picnic, followed by a performance by Bocking Concert Brass.
Pupils listened to Land of Hope and Glory, songs from the popular musical Oliver! and favourites including “If you go down to the woods today” and “You’ve got a friend in me”.
Principal Loraine Guest had the opportunity to conduct the brass band.
Mrs Guest said: “A fabulous afternoon was had by everyone, with a huge thank you to Bocking Concert Brass.”
