A grandmother has said it is a ‘godsend’ that she has finally had a wetroom installed in her house after four years campaigning.
Iris Stephens, 68, of East End Road, Bradwell, said the wetroom, installed by housing association Moat, has been a fantastic help to her and her grandson James.
James, 19, who has lived with his grandmother since birth, has dyspraxia, skin condition psoriasis and learning difficulties, meaning it was difficult for him to wash in their previous bath.
Mrs Stephens said: “We have got it after four years and it was very much worth the wait.
“It helps James a lot.
“I don’t know why it has taken so long but they finished installing it last week and we were ever so pleased.”
