Triplets are finally home after arriving at 34 weeks and having an average weight of about 3.5 lb each.
Kerry Smith and partner James Kaymakam are thrilled to bring their three daughters home to Mayland after the trio spent a month in intensive care at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.
The girls were born on February 26 after Miss Smith’s rollercoaster high-risk pregnancy.
The couple initially thought they should be preparing for twins following a blood test, but a scan in Harley Street later showed four babies.
Sadly, the fourth baby only survived to about eight weeks.
As Miss Smith’s high risk pregnancy progressed, she had to have scans at Broomfield every other day to monitor the babies’ hearts.
Miss Smith, 34, said: “It’s amazing to have them home.”
