Already running out of things to do this Easter? We've put together a list of some activities in Essex coming up this weekend. 

1. Easter Sunday music in the park. Music in the Park is a series of weekend concerts which takes place on the Southend Bandstand, in Priory Park, Southend, during weekends in May, June, July, August and September. The concerts are free for all to enjoy. Southend Band will start the series with a special concert for Easter. The band will perform popular brass band music on Easter Sunday. Some seating is provided, so bring a picnic and a jacket and enjoy Easter Sunday in the park. There is limited parking.

2. Easter trail through Billericay until this Saturday, April 4. 

Children are invited to hunt for pictures in shops along Billericay High Street then go to St Mary's Church to collect a prize. Download an answer sheet from - http://goo.gl/zPf9sF. Prize collection is between 8.30am and 1pm on Saturday. For more information, email pamlevy1971@gmail.com.

3. Essex's longest egg hunt?

Bertie Bunny, will be hosting what could be Essex's longest Easter Egg Hunt on 3, 4, 5 & 6 April this year. The hunt which is the length of 131,579 eggs laid end to end will take in features and sights along the length of the Epping Ongar Railway from Ongar through to Coopersale.

4. The Thatchers Arms in Mount Bures is holding an Easter Family Day of fun on Good Friday from 12pm until 4pm. It is raising funds in memory of Daisy Brooks and for DIPG research. Each child's ticket includes an Easter Egg hunt, an Easter Treat and Easter crafts. Adults go free and child tickets are £5 in advance or £6 on the day. Discounted tickets can be bought in advance from https://www.justgiving.com/esther-morrell/ or directly from the Thatchers Arms. 

5. Want more bang for your bucks? On Good Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, the Royal Gunpowder Mills, at Waltham Abbey is hosting special Easter activities for younger children, including a traditional Easter egg hunt, crafts, face-painting and a chance to meet the Easter bunny.

6. Hanningfield Reservoir Visitor Centre has an Easter Eggstravaganza from Easter Sunday, April 5, for fans of all creatures great and small to follow a trail around the site, do some pond dipping and minibeast hunting, before returning to the centre to collect your prize and make an Easter-themed craft to take away with you.

7. If you’re looking for a knight in shining armour this Easter, then march over to Hedingham Castle for its Medieval Siege and Fair (April 3 to April 6) and go nearly a thousand years back in time. Experience the bustle of the camp and see displays of archery, birds of prey and a fearsome trebuchet (giant catapult) in action.

8. Fancy a walk through the woods to find some Easter eggs? Belchamps Scout Activity Centre in Hockley is holding the event from 9am until 5pm costing £3. Follow the clues around the campsite and discover the eggs.  Win a real chocolate egg upon completion. 9. Boreham Easter Egg Trail 2015 will be held over Easter weekend. Follow the trail around the delightful village of Boreham. Once you have solved all the clues collect your egg from the Pelly Room next to St Andrew's Church. It will run from 10am until 4pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday. It costs £3 and includes a raffle and a free children's activity table. 

10. An Easter celebration will be held at Leigh on Sea Salvation Army, Elm Road, Leigh, from 10am until 11.15am on Easter Sunday.
