Positive reports of GP surgeries from patients have been released, with local surgeries getting good responses from the majority of their patients.

The figures contradict recent controversial CQC reports.

In a survey sent to more than 1 million people across the UK, patients were given the opportunity to comment on their experiences at local GP practices.

NHS England say the survey is “an opportunity for patients to have their say about how well their practice is doing at providing services to patients”.

Nearly 1,000 patients of the eight local surgeries returned their survey.

More than 80% rated their overall GP experience as ‘very good’ or ‘fairly good’.

Only three respondents, out of 947, classed their experience as ‘very poor’.
