A world record breaking rower is attempting to become the first person ever to row solo around the British Isles.

Adventurer Charlie Pitcher, 52, will leave London Bridge in June, on a journey which will take him down the Cornish coast, through the Irish Sea and round the Hebrides, facing huge waves and tricky tides.

Founder of Burnham-based Rannoch Adventure, Mr Pitcher, who has a world record for rowing singlehanded across the Atlantic, will leave from Tower Bridge in June to embark on his journey.

He is raising money for Big Change, a charity supporting young people and showing they can make positive differences for their community.
