Great Totham Cricket Club bosses were granted more money than they had applied for to improve club facilities.
The club applied for £10,000 from the scheme, to remove their existing net which is no longer fit for purpose and to replace it with a new net.
The organisation aims to enhance cricket training and player opportunities for young people in the local community by providing top quality facilities for them.
The project is expected to cost £16,995 and the club was given a £12,500 grant by the fund.
The club said receiving the grant meant it could continue to make cricket accessible ti everyone as it worked to continually improve coaching, practice and playing opportunities.
