Teenagers had a glimpse of life in the United Nations.
Seven Felsted School sixth formers attended the annual Model United Nations Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, where they debated in the same chambers as the official delegates.
James Hoile, 16, from Tillingham, Toby Vignoles, 17, from Braintree, Abe Reeve, 17, and Antony Hickling, 16, both from Chelmsford, Adam Sheenan, 16, from Dunmow, Genevieve Guest, 17, from Colchester, and Shona Glover, 18, from London, represented different countries.
They listened to a talk by Dr Izzeldin Abuelaish, founder of the Daughters for Life Foundation, whose three daughters died during war in Palestine, and spoke about global issues including ebola and the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
