A new youth club will provide young people with entertainment in the evenings.

The club started in Burnham in November, but the organisers are hoping it will take off in January.

Yvonne Deacon, 52, of Alexander Way, Burnham is one of those behind the new club.

She said: “It’s a drop in centre, for 13-19-year-olds.

“We’ve got a whole range of things to offer, table tennis, pool, cookery, crafts or DVD evenings.

“If there’s other things people want to do we can investigate.

“We are trying to get the church into the community.”

The club is free and runs on Thursdays from 5.15-7.45pm at Burnham United Reformed Church, Station Road.
