Villagers campaign for 20mph limit in St Lawrence
Villagers are campaigning for a 20mph speed limit.
A group of residents have presented St Lawrence Parish Council with a petition for the speed to be reduced through the village.
On the parish council Facebook page, it reads: “The petition states that anyone using the narrow pavement in Main Road will know how threatened they feel when vehicles pass very close by at 30mph but often they pass faster than the speed limit.
“Over 150 people have already signed the petition.”
The parish council has suggested that residents form a community speed watch group, but some say speed bumps would be the best way to solve the problem.
