A keen photographer who has been getting up at dawn for the last six years to photograph wildlife at Stow Maries Aerodrome has captured these beautiful shots of owls and hares in their natural environment.

Russell Savory, the operations manager at the aerodrome, drives for more than an hour from his home in Bishops Stortford every day in order to photograph the wildlife at the site early in the morning before starting work.

Mr Savory, 60, said: “A lot of people say I’m crazy and it is quite tiring but it’s enjoyable.

“I have great fun doing it and get some great photos.”
