As the National Lottery celebrates 20 years of making people’s dreams come true, The Standard looked back at how it has helped local people and organisations.
A Tollesbury church hall was granted more than £8,000 in June this year to set up new sound equipment, including a hearing loop for those with hearing difficulties, after applying for help.
Jeremy Heigham, the treasurer of the St Mary’s Parochial Parish Council and church hall, said: “I’m really pleased with it, the grant’s been a huge help.
“People who have used the sound system are delighted with it.”
