Children as well as adults paid their respects to the fallen during the Remembrance service in Maldon High Street.
Seven-year-old Phoebe and Darcy De Burgh, six, laid a wreath on behalf of Maldon Saints Football Club.
Pippa Tallow and William Wright, both 10, headgirl and headboy at nearby Maldon Court Preparatory School, laid a wreath on behalf of their school.
The ceremony took place around the war memorial in the High Street, on Remembrance Sunday, before being followed by a service at All Saints church.
