The Maldon community is rallying round to help a local boy reach his goal of racing at the Paralympics.
10-year-old Tom Miller, of Langford, has cerebal palsy and dreams of racing in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
Currently borrowing a racing wheelchair which is too big, Tom needs one specially built to compete nationally.
His family hope crowdfunding will raise funds to pay for the chair, costing £4,000.
His mother, Nicky Miller, 37, a special education needs statement writer, said: “Nothing stops him and he is sports mad.”
The crowdfunding campaign has raised £2,390 so far.
