A school has saved parents some pennies by buying each pupil a jumper and bookbag after updating its uniform.
Burnham Primary School, in Dunkirk Road, has brought in a new uniform, as part of a project to rebrand the school.
Headteacher Nicky Patrick said: “We changed our school uniform to reflect our more modern and professional outlook, purchasing a jumper or cardigan and a book bag for every child so that parents were not faced with a large additional financial outlay."
The school’s reception area was also refurbished over the summer and was officially opened by MP John Whittingdale on Friday during a ceremony to celebrate the finished project.
Mrs Patrick added: “Feedback from staff, children, parents and visitors has been overwhelmingly positive and we are really excited about the long term impact that these changes will have on the achievement of our children.”
