A tube driver trapped after a fall in his loft, has praised the emergency service response to his accident.

Mark Devlin, 49, of Beeches Crescent, Heybridge, fell at his home last Wednesday while attempting to tidy his loft.

He said: “I’m a bit accident prone, but I had heard a noise up there and went up to see if anything had fallen over.

“I was standing up one minute and then the next minute I had gone over.

“My loft is a bit untidy anyway but I had taken apart one of my childrens beds and had stood on the cylinder shaped leg.

“I hit my neck on the rafters and literally could not move.”
