Police are investigating after a wedding guest suffered a grazed head and a black eye.
Police would like to hear from anyone with information about how a man suffered injuries in Wickford between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Saturday September 6.
The 18-year-old had been attending a wedding in the village and had gone for a walk along Church End Lane in the direction of Swan Lane to clear his head.
The next thing he clearly remembers is being back at the wedding venue with a grazed head and a black eye, but without his wallet.
PC Dan Smith said: "The man has some recollection of meeting some other people while he was out and that he may have been involved in a fight but cannot recall any other details.
"At this point I am trying to establish if any crime occurred and if anyone has any information which could assist my enquiries I would like to hear from them. They can call me at Chelmsford Police Station on 101."
