A village tearoom was thrilled to received a visit from cricketing legend Freddie Flintoff.
The cricketer, visited Salty Dogs Tea Rooms and Gallery, Head Street, Goldhanger, while filming with a television crew at Maldon Sea Salt with his mobile fish and chip van, Flintoff’s Fish Bar.
Den Phillips, owner of the gallery and marine photographer, said: “He was charming and lovely.
“He had ice cream and was with the film crew who all had very hearty appetites.
“All the other customers were very excited, the girls working here were beside themselves with excitement.”
