John Bailey captured the forked lightning
Maldon Standard Facebook users shared their impressive lightning pictures of the storm last Friday.
Using cameras and mobiles they managed to capture the forks as they lit up the sky.
John Bailey, 33, a carer, of Hillary Close, Heybridge was amazed by the lightning.
He said: “I haven’t seen lightning like that before, it lit up the whole sky.”
